Three Weeks and One Day

So in three weeks and one day I will be flying out of these great United States headed for the Land of Morning Calm (that’s South Korea if you didn’t know). Once there I will recieve about three days of training and then tossed into a pool of hungry parhanas (er classroom of students). Ages unknown. I’m crossing my fingers for the well-behaved ages. Are there any?

Pop quiz.

In Korea, I will be
A) Teaching English
B) Buying electronics
C) Becoming Buddhist
D) Marrying a Russian prostitute
E) All of the above
I received THINGS TO BRING TO KOREA & SHOPPING the official YBM list. I was going to try to come up with a list on my own, but it looks like my procrastination has paid off. Reading it, I learned a few things:
  • You can buy Frito Lay Doritos in most stores.
  • Don’t drink the tap water.
  • There are Wal-Marts and Costcos everywhere.
  • I may need to start taking vitamins.
  • Dinner at a Korean restaurant is only $6.
  • Some boring stuff.
I sent out my visa application a few days ago.
This is really happening. I guess I should start getting ready...

The other day I posted a comment but it didn't go through. I don't remember what I said but I know that it was something extremely positive and encouraging. You are so money.
