New Apt
The first thing I noticed was that it wasn't very much bigger than my old place, if at all. The second thing I noticed was that they forgot to move my bed in. That's just fantastic. Mr. Kim was talking. Dis wahn has unusuar probrem. Day could not instahr dee air con because of dee rain. Tile floors. That's nice. But dere is other probrem. You need to tell me which room you want air con. Before what he said could register, I noticed a door on the left wall. Could it be... In your bedroom or riving room.
I could hardly believe it. Two rooms? Am I a prince to recieve such treatment? When he left (I eventually decided on the living room, but because of complications they had to install it in the bedroom), I looked around at the four mounds of my things emptied haplessly from the boxes to the floor. My furniture, which had filled my old apartment to the brim, now looked scant and the living room was unnervingly empty. I shall keep my eyes open for a couch to scavenge from the streets. I am extremely pleased with my new location. If I walk slowly, I am still less than five minutes from the school. And I feel for the first time, that I actually have a home here. A home I should take care of, and entertain people in. To that end, I went out yesterday and bought a bunch of cleaning solutions that I had never gotten around to at my old place and stowed them under the sink if ever the inspiration struck me.
I have opted not to install internet. I find that it sucks up my time. Even when I'm not online. It's like a hole in the corner of a slanted floor, whenever you put time down it rolls into the corner and disappears. I'll be getting my fix at school and at the PC Bang and at David's house.
