Ice Cream Bars and Bunny Rabbits
The label was clearly labeled “milk chocolate.” Isn’t the first time I’ve been fooled by Korean food packaging (the cheeto incident comes to mind). Perhaps it’s because I’m reading it in their second language. It’s always an adventure to grocery shop. Just gotta keep an open mind.
Today in kindergarten we colored these bunny’s that I drew. Jin’s is precious. And by precious I mean downright disturbing.
I plan to do a series of creepy animals colored by my KGs. Which brings me to my next point.
That great idea that I had earlier.
I’ve decided to share it with you before it has come to fruition, which is perhaps dangerous, but I expect you my reader (whoever and wherever you are), to hold me to it.
It is this: I’m going to create a zine by and for foreign teachers in Korea. I think I will call it Wagook, which is Korean for foreigner. We’ll post drawings, stories, kids art, photos, whatever, and ship it out to different schools.
We’ll become legends, everyone will want to meet us, but we’ll keep our identities secret. Only you, my beloved reader, will know the name of the man behind the mask.
