Daegu Rundown

It is damn cold. Not so cold, I suppose, as Seoul was. But nonetheless. Thank goodness for longjohns.

-Rode the KTX bullet train last night.
-Met my boss. A short man with an enjoyable sense of humor. (if I understood him right). He seemed quite pleasent. In an hour I am meeting my other boss at Starbucks.
-Slept in my apartment. Small. I tell you what. Barely one room. There is a very curious smell. The other teachers told me it's the body odor of the previous tenent. A few hours, though, and a couldn't smell it at all.
-Wandered around in Daegu this morning. Bundled up against the cold. Wondering hopelessly which Korean letters spelled 'breakfast.'
-Ate breakfast at Dunkin Donuts. Tried to hop on a wireless network. Failed,
-I am at a PC bang now. Where young folk come and spend hours smoking cigarettes and defeating digital demons on the nethernet. It's cheap. About $1 for two hours. But they don't have a hookup for my Macbook... Is a problem.

Nothing opens until 10:30. Except schools I suppose, which are open all the time (practically). I shall head out soon to the department store to purchase such items as a towel and a trashcan.
