Sometimes, with all the praise, it’s difficult to remain humble

I’m quite proud of my ablility to use two thin sticks (be they metal, wood, or bamboo) to lift food from my plate to my mouth. Sometimes Koreans compliment me on my chopstick handling. They say things like,

“Wow.”

and

“You’re better than that other foreigner who ate here.”

and

“Where did you learn to eat like that?”
