This is how things change: without warning.

Monthly teacher meeting today. Learned something valuable. I'll be teaching kindergarten classes next month. And the next month. And the next month. As will all the foreign teachers. We had been hired under the pretext that we would not need to teach kindergarten. Things change apparently.

I don't mean to go on a tyrade. So don't take it as such. Granted I have enjoyed an unjustifiably cushy month. I don't begin work until 2:30 and 4:45. So, naturally an increased workload would cause a few ripples in my calm sea. But... consider the facts. I am already working until late at night. After 7 everyday except Wednesday. And bordering on 10 three nights a week. And now I will be coming to work as early as 9 am. That gives me no less than two 12 hour workdays. Also consider this: five year old kids don't speak any English. What are we going to do? How am I supposed to teach them anything?

We'll see, I suppose.

On the plus side, I get to teach an arts and crafts class.

On the other plus side, I get to name the whole class (tomorrow). I think it should be themed. Actors? Philosophers? Eighteenth century British playwrites?

suggestions: dieties of Greek mythology, Disney, past Presidents of the US and/or US founding fathers, inventors, detectives and DA/ADA's in the various Law & Orders... or just name everyone Arthur (you can be the Arthur class)
