China Dreaming

Sorry it's taken me so long to post. Thing is internet is a little scarce for my little macbook. I mean sure I could pop into one of those PC bangs for a few cents and dribble out a few words. But trust me, with all the monsters dying and ballads crooning, I wouldn't be able to create anything worth reading. Or I could take a few minutes during my school day to post a few words. OK I could do that. I just always feel guilty. It's ok to check my email, and glance at Pitchfork, but as soon as I start writing I suddenly feel like I'm wasting valuable time, that my boss is looking over my shoulder, or that someone will secretly read what I'm writing. Anyway, it didn't seem worth it. But I have a plan... Instead of block posting, I'll post a week late. So just realize that whatever you read has been delayed. I apologize, but until I get internet you'll just have to suck it up.

This afternoon me and a couple friends are going to E-Mart (Korean for Wal-Mart). And we're going to buy tickets for a China tour. A China tour on the lunar new year. It costs a little money yes (about 700). A little money that I don't have. But how could I pass up the Great Wall, the Forbidden City, and roast Duck, on the Chinese New Year? That's right, I couldn't. All expenses paid, it doesn't seem too bad. And I figure this way, when I want to motorcycle across China on my own, I'll have a little experience under my belt. I've never been a fan of organized tours, but I've heard this one is pretty good. I don't know we'll see how it goes. Hopefully they've reserved real crappy love motels for us. No I don't want to solicit a prostitute, I just can't't stand to be treated like a tourist.

Oh by the by, anyone want me to buy them some cheap crap? (just curious, I'm not actually going to buy you anything.)

Nathan,

hey man. yah I heard thru the Sharpvine that you were headed to South Korea. How are you finding it?
Ive been in Kyoto about 4.5 months now. Everyday is a new day. Its tres bizarre.

My flatmate and I were thinking of heading over to Seoul sometime soon. Its crazy cheap to fly between the two. You anywhere near there?
