oh for the bliss of foreign tongues. a constant babble held at bay by a linguistic fortress. and i in my castle alone lest i chose to leave. to ask, do you speak english?

i had forgotten what it sounded like. hearing bits and pieces. fragments of other worlds. invading my ears like arrows. i like not knowing what everyone is saying. i like it a lot.

surrounded shoulder to shoulder and still completely isolated.

so much noise here, interference. like broadcasting a weak signal in a busy city. my thoughts are static fuzz.

whilst the city's eyes peer down at you. from every corner. where floor meets ceiling. behind every dark screen. raven's eyes. warning you that you are surrounded. that birds of prey are circling.

there is so much energy here in london. its like a mirror world.

everything you thought was right is now left.

there are things i miss. self defense? is it. that my mind has skipped forward to draw me onward. linger not on what was. you can soon: drive a stick shift. eat barbeque and mexican food. sleep on a bed. change your shoes. earn money. see family and friends...

i spoke at length with some muslims last night at hyde park at speakers corner. where people with differing views bring ladders to stand upon and shout down at the people. did you know that the word day is mentioned exactly 365 times in the quran? and month, 12? last night, i think, for the first time in my life, i seriously thought about islam. it deserves serious thought i think.

in... 2 days ill be in the USA.

Hey Nathan,
I didn't realize you were going to be coming back to the States so soon. I have a contact for you in London, from a graphic designer (I think). Do you remember Mrs. Tuel (tool)? Her brother lives in London, and I think he is a graphic designer. Check your e-mail for the contact information. Look forward to seeing ya, (perhaps?)

Love ya, bro!
