ive been waiting to hear someone say that for ages. but from the mouth of hungarys preeminent living sculptor in his own museum, in reply to a question i asked? note to self add varga to list of favorite artists.

a moment might creep up on you. and frighten you. with a beauty that you dont understand and you are certain that nobody else will understand. and so you suppress it so no one will ask why. because you dont know why cant explain why. and it rarely happens where you think it will. not in the museums not in the cathedrals. its the way the sunrays pass through the leaves. its the shadow on the bench in the park. its the intersecting lines of the rooftops or the color of the wall.
